Workload Assessment

Many factors impact the amount of manpower needed for a law enforcement agency to efficiently deliver police services to the community it serves. Those factors include the population density of the community, the size of the area being served, the number of calls for service, and the amount of crime occurring in the community among other factors. The Dalton Police Department periodically performs studies to assess the agency’s staffing level relative to these factors to ensure the department has enough resources to serve the community efficiently.
