Crime and Traffic Statistics

The Dalton Police Department compiles statistics on criminal activity and traffic crash and enforcement data periodically throughout the year.

Crime data is broken down into Part I (the most serious crimes) and Part II (other crimes) in accordance with the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) format. Each monthly report compares that month’s crime data to the same month in the previous year, and also compiles year-to-date data and compares it to the previous year. The traffic data included below is a monthly statistical report compiled by the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) of crashes in Dalton highlighting roadways experiencing the most crashes and examines different contributing factors causing crashes in Dalton.
